Helpful Tips for Making the Best Magic Broth:

Mineral broth is the least intimidating recipe to make. Wash and chop your veggies, add to a pot, and let it do it’s thing!

  • Wash your veggies well. I use a VEGETABLE SCRUBBER to ensure I get no pesticides or dirt in my recipe.
  • You technically only need to let your broth simmer for 2 hours, but I find allowing it to soak for 6 hours results in the most flavorful and nutrient dense broth.
  • Use fresh herbs as opposed to dried herbs. They have the most nutrients and flavor. I recommend dill, tarragon, cilantro, parsley, or a combo of any or all of them.
  • Add kombu (aka dried seaweed) into your recipe. It not only adds delicious flavor, it is extremely nutrient dense. I buy mine on AMAZON.

Confused? Here are some frequently asked questions:

1. What do I do with the leftover scraps?

The minerals have all been soaked into the broth, so the scraps don’t have much nutritional quality. I usually just toss them, but you can turn them into a purée.

2. What are the benefits of mineral broth?

Mineral broth is packed with important vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that are easily consumed in a small cup of broth. This broth contains trace minerals as well, which are minerals that are generally tough to incorporate into your diet. Consuming this mineral rich broth keeps your immune system strong which in turn prevents disease and viruses.

3. Is mineral broth the same as bone broth?

Mineral broth is ultimately superior to bone broth in my opinion. Bone broth is a fad that can be dangerous, as you are consuming heavy metals and toxins consumed by the animal. Mineral broth contains a significant amount more nutrients than bone broth, which is mostly consumed for collagen. I find it more helpful to increase my body’s natural collagen versus attempting to transfer it from another animal, which, according to Harvard Medical School, has no medical evidence of working. To help increase your body’s natural collagen, try CELERY JUICE.

4. When should I drink mineral broth?

It’s best to consume mineral broth during the colder months and flu season to avoid viruses. Drink it during the evening to take advantage of it’s relaxation benefits. If you are a cancer patient, mineral broth is known to be incredibly soothing and can help replenish your body with important nutrients.

5. Can kids have mineral broth?

Absolutely! Use it as a base for soups and noodles, or as a cup of “tea”.
